New Market in Napa

A whopping big addition to the foodies' town of Napa is the Oxbow Public Market, where more than two dozen local purveyors of yummies are clustered together in a huge, contempo-industrial building: artisanal baked goods, wine, Hog Island oysters, farmhouse cheeses, Fatted Calf charcuterie, fresh-roasted coffees. Get burgers, shakes and sandwiches at Taylor’s Refresher, nosh at one of the many café tables and walk around with a Three Twins Organic Ice Cream cone while you pick up items for home or for picnics: homemade salumi, Model Bakery cookies and scones, fresh teas from China, gifts, antiques and and cookbooks.
Pica Pica Maize Kitchen will introduce you to Venezuelan cuisine. You can get fresh seafood at Kanaloa; spices, chocolate, local olives and olive oils--it's hard to get out of here.
One of the world’s greatest outdoor markets, the Napa Farmers’ Market is held in the parking lot on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Located next to COPIA, 610 1st Street. Oxbow_specialty_merchants_2
