With a new ownership team that includes World Golf Hall of Famer, Johnny Miller, with Troon Golf management on board and the resort now operated by Dolce Hotels and Resorts, Silverado Resort and Spa will renovate the North and South golf courses by spring, 2011.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the North and South Courses sprawl across 360 acres, with dozens of water crossings, elevation changes, and routing through oak, pine, and redwood trees. Most of the major changes will take place on the North Course and driving range: bunker renovation, turf replacement and new tees, lengthening to 7,100 yards.
Improvements to the South Course include reshaping of fairway lines, recapturing lost green area, and enchancing bunkers.
A California landmark for more than 140 years, Silverado Resort has 435 guest rooms, a 16,000 square foot luxury spa, 10 swimming pools, 13 tennis courts and is located near more than 200 wineries.
